Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.
  2. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and cover lightly with foil to keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in ½ cup of Irish whiskey and scrape the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it well in the sauce, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
