Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, aiming for about 1/4 inch thickness.
  2. In a large skillet, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat and add thinly sliced yellow onions. Cook until deeply caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Remove onions and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook thinly sliced flank or sirloin steak over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove from heat and slice into thin strips.
  4. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour for about 1-2 minutes, then gradually add 1 cup of milk and whisk until thickened (3-5 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan until smooth.
  5. Spread the garlic white sauce over the prepared pizza dough. Layer sliced steak and caramelized onions, then top with provolone cheese.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from oven, cool for a few minutes, slice and serve warm.
