  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
For the Crust
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese or Pecorino Romano
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs panko recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked for added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper fresh ground preferred
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped, optional

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly with olive oil or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel, brush with olive oil, and drizzle with lemon juice.
  4. Press each tilapia fillet into the Parmesan mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Arrange the coated tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake the Parmesan Crusted Tilapia for 10–12 minutes until it flakes easily and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching closely to prevent burning.
  8. Let the tilapia rest for 2–3 minutes, then serve warm with fresh lemon juice and parsley.
