Step-by-Step Instructions for Brownie Baked Oats
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 baking pan with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of old-fashioned oats, 1/2 cup of Dutch processed cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until no lumps remain.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of milk, 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth.
- Gently fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips into the batter, then pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the center is set and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. The top should look slightly cracked.
- Let the Brownie Baked Oats cool for about 10 minutes, then slice into squares. Drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
