Prepare the Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed digestive biscuits and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden, then cool completely.
Make the Caramel Filling
- In a saucepan over low heat, stir a can of sweetened condensed milk for 1 to 1.5 hours until thick and golden. Be attentive to avoid sticking.
Assemble the Layers
- Spread the cooled caramel over the biscuit crust. Peel and slice ripe bananas and lay them over the caramel.
Whip the Cream
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
Finish the Pie
- Spread whipped cream over the bananas. Optionally, add chocolate shavings or cocoa powder on top.
Chill and Serve
- Refrigerate the assembled pie for at least 1 hour. Slice and serve.
