  • 1 tube Crescent Roll Dough opt for gluten-free rolls if necessary
  • 4 tbsp Butter unsalted for better control
For the Creamy Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1 large Egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon adjust based on preference
For the Topping
  • 2 tbsp Sugar for cinnamon sugar coating
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon for topping

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the crescent roll dough evenly on the bottom of the dish.
  3. Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough layer.
  5. Top with the remaining crescent dough and pinch seams together.
  6. Melt butter and mix with sugar and cinnamon; drizzle over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden.
  8. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
