Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a large baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Halve the French bread lengthwise and mix softened butter with garlic salt; spread on cut sides of the bread.
  3. Place the garlic buttered sides of the bread cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  4. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes, draining excess fat.
  5. Reduce heat to medium; stir in garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and water; simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Divide the filling over the garlic buttered sides of the bread, then sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool for 1-2 minutes, slice for serving, and garnish with parsley.
