Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even cooking.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat and sear the chicken thighs until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Pour half of the sauce into the Dutch oven, return the chicken, and then pour the remaining sauce on top.
  6. Cover the Dutch oven and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
  7. Serve the chicken hot, spooning the sauce over each piece, garnished with fresh parsley.
