Description

A decadent seafood delight featuring layers of shrimp, crab, and cheese in a rich marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  5. Spoon half of the seafood and cheese mixture over the noodles, then add another layer of marinara sauce. Repeat the layers with 3 more noodles, the remaining seafood mixture, and more marinara sauce. Top with the last 3 noodles and the remaining marinara sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the seafood mixture.
  • Substitute the marinara sauce with Alfredo sauce for a creamy variation.
