A delightful festive treat combining the flavors of cranberry and orange in a creamy cheesecake.

- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream and orange zest until fully incorporated.
- Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust.
- Spoon half of the cranberry sauce over the batter and use a knife to swirl it gently.
- Pour the remaining cheesecake batter on top, followed by the rest of the cranberry sauce. Swirl again to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a festive touch, consider topping the cheesecake with whipped cream and additional cranberry sauce before serving.
- You can also substitute the cranberry sauce with raspberry or cherry sauce for a different flavor profile.
