Description
A delicious ribeye steak topped with a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds ribeye steak (or your preferred cut)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice the steak against the grain and serve it topped with the garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, consider grilling the steak instead of pan-searing it.
- Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the garlic cream sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
