Description

A delicious ribeye steak topped with a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ribeye steak (or your preferred cut)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Slice the steak against the grain and serve it topped with the garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, consider grilling the steak instead of pan-searing it.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the garlic cream sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
