- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Toss to coat and set aside to macerate for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over each triangle of dough.
- Place a spoonful of the macerated strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up tightly and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream and any remaining strawberries.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, drizzle melted chocolate over the rolls before serving.
- You can substitute blueberries or raspberries for the strawberries for a different flavor profile.
