Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake that combines fresh strawberries and cream cheese with a cake mix for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the cake mix, remaining sugar, and cinnamon. Gradually add the melted butter and water, stirring until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Layer the strawberry mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining cake batter on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of lemon zest to the strawberry mixture.
  • You can substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different berry flavor.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
