Description

Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls are a delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, filled with a creamy strawberry cheesecake mixture and topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed to 110°F
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread the cream cheese and strawberry filling evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Cut the log into 8 equal pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  12. Once the rolls are done, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of lemon zest to the cream cheese filling.
  • You can also substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different twist.
