Description

Decadent Strawberry Cheesecake Brownies with a creamy cheesecake layer and a rich brownie base, swirled together for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed in before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the diced strawberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
  7. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar until creamy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  8. Layer the cheesecake mixture over the brownie base.
  9. Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer, then use a knife to create swirls, blending the two layers slightly.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into squares.
