- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Add the cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir well.
- Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes, or until it starts to thicken but is not fully set.
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries, mini marshmallows, whipped topping, and chopped pecans (if using) until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a 9-inch round or square dish and spread evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
- Serve chilled, cutting into squares or wedges.
Notes
- For a tropical twist, substitute the strawberry gelatin with pineapple or orange gelatin and add diced pineapple instead of strawberries.
- To make it a bit healthier, use sugar-free gelatin and light whipped topping.
