  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet, seasoning them with smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
