Description
A flavorful Southern-style beef loin roast cooked with Coca-Cola for a unique taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds beef loin roast
- 1 can (12 ounces) Coca-Cola
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the Coca-Cola, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, salt, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef loin roast on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of a roasting pan.
- Transfer the seared beef loin to the roasting pan on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour the Coca-Cola mixture over the beef loin, ensuring it is well coated.
- Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
- Roast for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium-rare.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the beef in the Coca-Cola mixture overnight before cooking.
- Serve the beef with a side of creamy coleslaw or cornbread for a true Southern experience.
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the Coca-Cola mixture.
