- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, crushed pineapple, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
- Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option while maintaining the same cooking time.
