Description

A delicious seafood lasagna featuring shrimp and crab meat, layered with ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound lump crab meat, drained and picked over for shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Gently fold in the cooked shrimp and crab meat.
  6. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  7. Spread half of the seafood mixture over the noodles, followed by another layer of marinara sauce. Repeat the layers with 3 more noodles, the remaining seafood mixture, and another layer of marinara sauce.
  8. Top with the last 3 noodles, remaining marinara sauce, and the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the shrimp while cooking.
  • Substitute the marinara sauce with Alfredo sauce for a creamy variation.
