Description

Sha Cha Chicken Stir-Fry is a flavorful and colorful dish that combines tender chicken with fresh vegetables, all coated in a delicious Chinese BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sha cha sauce (Chinese BBQ sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in the sha cha sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together to coat the chicken and vegetables evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For added heat, include sliced jalapeños or a dash of chili oil during cooking.
  • Substitute the chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different protein option.
