Description

Scoop of Heaven Trifle is a delightful layered dessert featuring vanilla pudding, pound cake, mixed berries, and whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Spoon half of the vanilla pudding over the pound cake layer, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add half of the mixed berries on top of the pudding layer.
  5. Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream.
  7. If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for added texture and flavor.
  8. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  9. Garnish with fresh mint leaves just before serving.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla and layer with chocolate cake.
  • Substitute seasonal fruits like peaches or mangoes for the mixed berries for a different flavor profile.
