Description

A refreshing dish featuring thinly sliced sushi-grade salmon, complemented by citrus segments and a zesty herb dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fresh sushi-grade salmon, skin removed and thinly sliced
  • 1 medium orange, segmented and juice reserved
  • 1 medium grapefruit, segmented and juice reserved
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Microgreens or edible flowers for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Arrange the thinly sliced salmon on a large serving platter or individual plates.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the reserved orange juice, reserved grapefruit juice, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, parsley, sea salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Drizzle the citrus dressing over the salmon slices, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Scatter the orange and grapefruit segments over the salmon.
  5. If using, garnish with microgreens or edible flowers for an extra touch of color and flavor.
  6. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 15 minutes before serving for a refreshing taste.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a few slices of fresh jalapeño or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the dressing.
  • Substitute the salmon with fresh tuna or scallops for a different flavor profile.
