Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, chopped garlic, ground chili, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, sea salt, black pepper, orange juice, and lime juice until well blended to form a flavorful marinade.
- Place the chicken thighs into the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours, or ideally overnight to enhance the flavors.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F. If grilling, lightly grease the grates to avoid sticking.
- Take the marinated chicken out of the bowl, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill or on a baking tray if using the oven.
- Cook the chicken for approximately 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is golden and crispy.
