Fresh and festive, this Red White & Blue Pizza is perfect for summer gatherings and patriotic celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Top with sliced strawberries and blueberries.
  8. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with chopped mint if using.
  9. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
