Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until well combined.
  2. In another small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the soy sauce mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the cod fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Pour the ginger soy glaze over the cod fillets in the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, spooning the glaze over the fish until it thickens slightly.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and let the cod rest for a minute. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or red pepper flakes to the glaze.
