- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- If there’s excess fat, drain it off.
- Add sliced onion, minced garlic, and ginger, stirring for 2-3 minutes until the onion softens.
- Incorporate shredded cabbage and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until wilted but still crunchy.
- Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce, adding crushed red pepper if desired.
- Mix thoroughly and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less crushed red pepper.
- This dish can be made with other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for added nutrition.
