Description

A delightful dessert featuring creamy pistachio mousse topped with rich chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, blend the shelled pistachios until finely ground.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground pistachios, 1 cup of heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whip the mixture until soft peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pistachio mixture until fully combined.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. For the chocolate ganache, heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  7. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  8. Let the ganache cool slightly before drizzling it over the chilled pistachio mousse.
  9. Serve the mousse topped with the chocolate ganache. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
  • Add a sprinkle of crushed pistachios on top of the ganache for added texture and flavor.
