Description
A delicious one-pot meal featuring creamy, spicy garlic butter steak and pasta, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti
- 1 pound sirloin steak, diced into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat. Season the diced steak with salt and pepper, then add it to the pot. Sear the steak pieces for about 3-4 minutes until they develop a nice brown crust. Remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.
- In the same pot, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, stirring for about a minute until the garlic is fragrant and golden.
- Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, mixing well to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Add the fettuccine or spaghetti to the pot, ensuring it is fully submerged in the creamy sauce. Cook according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally, until the pasta reaches an al dente texture, roughly 8-10 minutes.
- After the pasta is cooked, reintroduce the seared steak to the pot. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and create a rich, creamy sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes to thicken. Just before serving, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
- For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
