- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Green and white icing (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and nuts if using.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and shape it into small footballs (about 1.5 inches long) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, use green and white icing to decorate the mini footballs to resemble actual footballs.
Notes
- For a fun twist, substitute the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips.
- To make these gluten-free, substitute the all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
