- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- 1/2 cup crushed buttery crackers (like Ritz)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and green onions (if using) to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
- Place the chicken breasts in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle the crushed crackers over the top of the chicken and sauce.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and use low-fat mayonnaise.
- To add some heat, mix in a teaspoon of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the sour cream mixture.
