Description

A delicious and hearty Loaded Cheeseburger Tater Tot Pile that combines crispy tater tots with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, topped with fresh vegetables and condiments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  2. While the tater tots are baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  4. Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and lower the temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  5. In a large baking dish, layer the crispy tater tots, followed by the cooked ground beef, and then sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly on top.
  6. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, green onions, ketchup, and mustard. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, or use a plant-based meat alternative for a vegetarian version.
