- 2 pounds frozen tater tots
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- While the tater tots are baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and lower the temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large baking dish, layer the crispy tater tots, followed by the cooked ground beef, and then sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly on top.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, green onions, ketchup, and mustard. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
