Description

Lemon Posset Delight is a creamy and tangy dessert that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 23 lemons)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh berries or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
  2. Once the mixture is simmering, remove it from the heat. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest until well combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool for about 10 minutes, then pour it into individual serving cups or ramekins.
  4. Cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the posset is set and firm.
  5. Before serving, garnish with fresh berries or mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a twist, try adding a splash of vanilla extract or a few drops of almond extract to the cream mixture before heating.
  • Substitute lime juice for lemon juice for a refreshing lime posset variation.
