Description

A creamy and nutty overnight oats recipe inspired by the traditional Indian dessert, Kulfi.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ cup chopped pistachios
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and ground cardamom. Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  2. Fold in the chopped pistachios, chopped almonds, and shredded coconut. If you prefer a sweeter taste, add honey to the mixture and stir until incorporated.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into four jars or containers with lids.
  4. Seal the jars and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 6 hours) to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and flavors.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a good stir and enjoy cold, or you can warm them up in the microwave for a minute if you prefer them warm.

Notes

  • For a fruity twist, add diced mango or chopped strawberries on top before serving.
  • Substitute the nuts with your favorite mix-ins like walnuts or pecans for a different flavor profile.
