- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the sirloin steak cubes with olive oil, tamari, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, dried onion flakes, black pepper, sea salt, and smoked paprika. Stir thoroughly to ensure each piece of steak is well-coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a deeper flavor infusion.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to avoid charring.
- Preheat your grill to a medium-high setting.
- Assemble the skewers by alternating the marinated steak with the red and green bell peppers and onion wedges, leaving a small gap between each piece.
- Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 10-12 minutes, turning them occasionally, until the steak reaches your preferred doneness (medium-rare is around 135°F).
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
