Description

A delicious and cheesy casserole featuring spaghetti, chicken, and a spicy kick, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti, drained
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, shredded chicken, diced bell peppers, diced onion, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until they are well coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  6. Let it cool for about 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a milder version, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper.
  • You can also add cooked vegetables like spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition.
  • For a twist, try using different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or gouda, to customize the flavor.
