Description
A delightful twist on a classic dessert, this Irresistible Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with the flavors of a Boston cream pie.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined after each addition. Stir in the sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and vanilla pudding mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
- Once the cheesecake is chilled, spread the vanilla pudding evenly over the top. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pudding layer.
- For best results, chill for an additional 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a layer of sliced bananas or strawberries between the cheesecake and pudding layers.
- You can also substitute the graham cracker crust with an Oreo crust for a chocolatey twist.
