Description

A decadent dessert that combines the rich flavors of hot chocolate with layers of cream cheese and whipped topping, perfect for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup hot chocolate mix (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping and the vanilla extract until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the hot chocolate mix and milk until fully dissolved. Pour half of this mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the mini marshmallows and half of the chocolate chips over the hot chocolate layer. Pour the remaining hot chocolate mixture on top, followed by the rest of the marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the top layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle additional hot chocolate mix on top for garnish. Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use chocolate graham crackers instead of regular graham crackers for the crust.
  • Add a layer of crushed peppermint candies for a festive twist during the holiday season.
