Description

A delightful dessert inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter, featuring layers of graham cracker crust, cream cheese, butterscotch pudding, and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup butterscotch pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Additional butterscotch sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crust. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the butterscotch pudding mix, milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt until thickened, about 2 minutes. Pour the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer and spread it evenly.
  4. Drizzle the butterscotch sauce over the pudding layer, creating a marbled effect.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set properly.
  6. Before serving, top with whipped cream and drizzle with additional butterscotch sauce.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of butter extract to the cream cheese layer.
  • Substitute the butterscotch pudding with vanilla pudding for a different taste, or try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm twist.
