- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper.
- Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring until browned.
- Flip the steak bites and cook for another 2-3 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
- Stir the garlic butter mixture around the steak bites for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the steak is coated.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic.
- Serve the steak bites over a bed of mashed potatoes or with a side of roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
