Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring until browned.
  4. Flip the steak bites and cook for another 2-3 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
  6. Stir the garlic butter mixture around the steak bites for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the steak is coated.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic.
