A quick and delicious recipe for brown sugar salmon that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the brown sugar mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the brown sugar mixture.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of rice or quinoa, and add steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
