Description

Delicious Cranberry and Brie Phyllo Cups for Effortless Elegance are a perfect appetizer that combines the creamy richness of Brie cheese with the tartness of cranberry sauce, all wrapped in crispy phyllo dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (15 sheets) phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh or canned cranberry sauce
  • 8 ounces Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a clean surface, lay out one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it lightly with melted butter. Layer another sheet on top and brush with more butter. Repeat this process until you have 4 sheets layered.
  3. Cut the layered phyllo dough into 3-inch squares and gently press each square into the cups of a mini muffin tin, creating small cups.
  4. Repeat the layering and pressing process until all the phyllo dough is used.
  5. Bake the phyllo cups in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  6. In each phyllo cup, place a small piece of Brie cheese, followed by a spoonful of cranberry sauce. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Drizzle a small amount of honey over each filled cup and sprinkle with chopped rosemary. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Return the filled cups to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a savory twist, substitute the cranberry sauce with a fig jam or caramelized onions.
  • Add a sprinkle of crumbled feta cheese on top for an extra layer of flavor.
