Description

A delicious and layered dessert combining pecan pie filling, whipped cream, and vanilla pudding, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups pecan pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding (prepared)
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or caramel sauce for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the prepared vanilla pudding and 1 cup of whipped cream. Gently fold until well mixed.
  2. In a trifle dish or a large glass bowl, layer half of the crushed graham crackers on the bottom.
  3. Spoon half of the pecan pie filling over the graham crackers, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add half of the vanilla pudding mixture on top of the pecan pie filling, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  5. Layer half of the remaining whipped cream over the pudding mixture.
  6. Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients: graham crackers, pecan pie filling, vanilla pudding mixture, whipped cream, and chopped pecans.
  8. Finish with a final layer of whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, add chocolate pudding instead of vanilla, or layer in some chocolate chips.
  • Substitute the pecan pie filling with pumpkin pie filling for a seasonal variation.
