A delightful and sweet side dish made with tender sweet potatoes and topped with melted marshmallows, perfect for any gathering.

- 3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Place the cubed sweet potatoes in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes and stir to coat evenly.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the sweet potatoes are tender.
- About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top of the sweet potatoes. Cover and cook on high until the marshmallows are melted and slightly browned.
Notes
- For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts along with the marshmallows.
- Substitute the brown sugar with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
