A delightful and sweet side dish made with tender sweet potatoes and topped with melted marshmallows, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sweet potatoes in the crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the sweet potatoes are tender.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top of the sweet potatoes. Cover and cook on high until the marshmallows are melted and slightly browned.

Notes
