Description
A delicious and creamy dish featuring tender pork chops cooked in a flavorful garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds bone-in pork chops
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup chopped fresh spinach
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in heavy cream, thyme, rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the pork chops to the crockpot and pour the creamy garlic sauce over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork is tender.
- About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the chopped spinach and Parmesan cheese, allowing it to wilt and melt into the sauce.
- Serve the pork chops with the creamy sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk.
- Add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers to the crockpot for extra flavor and nutrition.
