Description

Crispy Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a delicious and easy weeknight dinner option, featuring tender salmon pieces coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Add the salmon pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Place the salmon bites on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon bites and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and crispy on the edges.
  6. While the salmon is baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened sauce over the bites and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, broil the salmon bites for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  • Substitute the salmon with chicken or tofu for a different protein option. Adjust cooking times accordingly.
