Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are delicious, bite-sized pieces of salmon coated in a crunchy panko breadcrumb crust, served with a spicy and tangy Bang Bang sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Dredge each salmon piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the salmon bites in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove the salmon bites from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Serve the crispy salmon bites warm, drizzled with the Bang Bang sauce and garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the salmon bites at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
