- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers (for topping)
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar, cocoa powder, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the butter is melted.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
- Fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers on top for added texture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until the dessert is set and the top is slightly crispy.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a fun twist, try adding a swirl of peanut butter on top before baking for a rich flavor.
- You can also substitute the chocolate chips with white chocolate or butterscotch chips for a different taste experience.
