Description

Creamy Honey Pepper Chicken Mac and Cheese Delight is a rich and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken, creamy cheeses, and a hint of sweetness from honey, all tossed with elbow macaroni.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Gradually add the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and creamy.
  4. Stir in the honey and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and mix until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with low-fat milk or a non-dairy alternative.
  • For added flavor, mix in some sautéed vegetables like spinach or bell peppers before serving.
