Description

Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails is a delicious seafood dish featuring succulent lobster meat coated in a rich and creamy garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds lobster tails (about 34 tails)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the meat out of the shell and place it on top, leaving it attached at the base.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place the lobster tails in a baking dish and pour the creamy garlic butter sauce over the top, ensuring the meat is well coated.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the lobster tails before baking.
  • Substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free version, and adjust seasoning to taste.
